The drop booms with hardstyle, while the rhythm is straight up elecrto-house. With “Faded” itself, well everyone knows “Faded,” just from the sheer amount of time between the single and the album. “Faded (Interlude)” has a somber piano and resounding echoes that land hard. The electro-house comes in at the drop with ‘diamond-like’ clarity in the lyricism and sleek effects, like the glass-slap percussion. “Diamond Heart (with Sophia Somajo)” has soulful vocals with soft house elements at the start. There’s definitely some techno moments there as well. The Caribbean vibes kick up quick and the drop gets funky with the rhythm and shrill with the effects. “Alone” again takes a solemn start with an upbeat swing. “Darkside” feels slow even thought its not, there’s a cool/weird dissonance to it.

“Darkside (with Au/Ra and Tomine Harket)” has strong electro-house vibes, and bass with a start and stop rhythm that makes it rather unique. The lyrics are a bit of a mixed message, but the drop is heavy with the electro-funk and the bass booms. “All Falls Down (with Noah Cyrus and Digital Farm Animals featuring Juliander)” has strong traditional EDM vibes. The beat whirs and pounds, definitely incorporating some electro-funk in too. “Sing Me to Sleep” has a fairy tale-ish intro and vibes with a nice hardstyle drop and electro-house bass. “Interlude” has a quiet piano and melancholy violin lead in, to an ascending orchestral feature.

The drop is full of dissonance, though the Caribbean rhythms definitely define “Different World” (the album) by this point. The namesake track, “Different World (with K-391 and Sofia Carson featuring Corsak),” is a quiet, slower track, while still heavy with the lyrical angst and futuristic effects. The lyrics are kind of repetitive and the drop is a little anticlimactic, but there’s a nice melody and beat overall. “Do It All For You (with Trevor Guthrie)” is ethereal and solemn. You can kind of get these early 90’s techno rhythms at the heavy bass moments. The throbbing bass and high stakes, breathy lyricism works great in conjunction with the reverb, and the long synth provides great juxtaposition. With “Lonely (with Steve Aoki featuring Isák and Omar Noir),” I liked it from the start (even though, admittedly, I thought it was going to be another ‘I’m all sad and lonely, but the beat is still upbeat’ EDM track). You can definitely feel the electro here in the beat. The soft drum kick is fun with a funky drop with fat bass. “Lily (with K-391 and Emelie Hollow)” is soft overall, and again keeps with the tropical house vibes.

The island vibes before and after drop, which makes it a bit more dubstep at points, are much more pronounced from here on out. It keeps with the “different world” vibes in both tone and a meta lyrical nod at points. “I Don’t Wanna Go (with Julie Bergan)” has hymnal synth work with more subtle bass. It gets into this groovy tempo with thick bass, winds and whips, and passionate lyrics with nicely employed accordion elements. “Lost Control (with Sorana)” has a light piano that complements the soulful vocals nicely. “Intro” has heavy spiritual vibes, which works into the electro vibes quickly, and you can really feel the bass.
